Nicholas Sharma is the RBC Resident Conductor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra. A native of the Toronto area, he began his musical life as a violinist.
He has assisted Gustavo Gimeno, Franz Welser-Möst, and Paavo Järvi, and has led performances with orchestras across North America including the Rochester Philharmonic and Eugene Symphony. This season he serves as a cover conductor for the Verbier Festival.
